My life changed forever in 1991, when I was 24 and incarcerated at the Arizona State Prison Complex in Perryville.

When I entered those gates, public internet was just a year old. Cellphones were a thing you saw in the movies more than you saw in person. Tablets were science fiction.

A major part of incarceration is rehabilitation.

That’s why it’s important for facilities to invest in resources and tools, such as digital technology, to help people better acclimate to “real world” tech when they get out.
